Registry Training in Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

Description:
This four-day workshop provides a basic understanding of traumatic brain injury and the implications for educational evaluation and programming. During the course of the workshop participants will attend a TBI support group and observe neurocognitive assessment of two students. Participants will work in teams to review assessment information, set educational priorities and formulate strategies for working with these students and families. In June of 2001, this training model received the poster award for "Most Innovative Project" at the Williamsburg Traumatic Brain Injury International Conference presented by Virginia Commonwealth University.
