The Oklahoma Benefits Planning and Assistance Project is a statewide outreach program providing Social Security beneficiaries and recipients and their families information about options for employment, self-sufficiency and their benefits. The University of Oklahoma's National Center for Disability Education and Training (NCDET) directs the project that is funded by the Social Security Administration's Ticket to Work and Work Incentives Improvement Act. Benefits Counselors at NCDET, NAMI Oklahoma in Oklahoma City, Progressive Independence in Norman, and Ability Resources in Tulsa provide cost free planning services for people with disabilities who are ages 14 to 64 and interested in support as they make work and benefits related decisions.
