1. Locating the sympathetic chain

2. Scoring the pleura around the sympathetic chain (this marks the sympathetic chain and cuts the pleura to facilitate removal of the chain)

3. Removing the sympathetic chain.

4. Sympathetic chain removed, procedure is complete.
