Department of Surgery Library - Basic Information

The Department of Surgery Library strengthens the teaching, research and patient care of the Department of Surgery by providing information to the members of the surgery staff.

The Department of Surgery Library, located in Williams Pavilion, Room WP 2130, was established in 1976 with monies from the Harris Foundation, Inc.

Linda R. O'Rourke, M.L.S., medical librarian, manages the library and is available to provide professional assistance in all aspects of library research which includes the use of general reference sources, internet resources, computerized literature searches, document delivery, and library instruction.

The Department of Surgery Library is available to the faculty and residents 24 hours a day and provides an excellent collection of surgical books and journals. If you have questions or comments, please call (405) 271-5506.
