Resident Research

Residents are allowed to take an additional year, or in some cases two years, working outside the field of clinical surgery. This is most commonly a research laboratory experience. The laboratory efforts in our Department are coordinated by Dan Brackett. Recent residents have done work at Sloan-Kettering, UCSF, Vanderbilt and the University of Washington.
