OU Alumni Association Awards

The OU Alumni Association presents three awards each year.  They are:  Physican of the Year - Private Practice, Physican of the Year - Academic Medicine, and the Amicus Medicinae (Friend of Medicine).

Since these awards were first presented in 1977, five surgeons have received these awards.

1985 Ronald C. Elkins, M.D. Academic Medicine
1999 Russell G. Postier, M.D. Academic Medicine
2001 Donald R. Carter, M.D. Academic Medicine
2003 R. Nathan Grantham, M.D. Private Practice
2005 Lynn H. Harrison, M.D. Academic Medicine
