H. Dale Collins Scholar in Surgery

The H. Dale Collins Scholars Program was first established in 1985 with an endowment from Dorothy Miller. The objectives of the program are:

to expand the medical education of selected resident surgeons by allowing a dedicated experience in a research laboratory.
to enhance, through the efforts and experience of these individuals, the educational programs of the Department of Surgery and the College of Medicine of the University of Oklahoma.
To increase research involvment and productivity of the Department of Surgery and the College of Medicine of the University of Oklahoma.

The scholarship is intended to support promising young surgeons in gaining research laboratory experience.
