Dr. Timothy H. Trotter

Dr. Timothy H. Trotter, Assistant Professor, was born in Oklahoma City. He received undergraduate degree in philosophy at Duke University in North Carolina. In 1985, he graduated from medical school at the University of Oklahoma. He spent the first year of general surgery residency at the University of Chicago, then completed general surgery residency at the Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix in 1993. After residency, Dr. Trotter served as a surgeon in the U.S. Navy until returning to the University of Oklahoma for a thoracic surgery residency fellowship. After a year in private practice in California and New Mexico, Dr. Trotter joined the Section of Cardiothoracic Surgery faculty in September 2000. He is Board Certified in surgery and thoracic surgery.
