Russell G. Postier, M.D.

Russell G. Postier, M.D., Professor and Chairman of Surgery, was born in Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1975. He completed the residency program in General Surgery at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in 1981 and joined the full time faculty at the University of Oklahoma immediately following completion of his training. He is a member of the Society of University Surgeons. His special interests are GI, biliary and pancreatic surgery. Dr. Postier was appointed John A. Schilling Professor and Chair July 1, 1997. Dr. Postier is board certified by the American Board of Surgery.
