Roxie M. Albrecht, M.D.

Roxie M. Albrecht, M.D.,Roxie M. Albrecht, MD, FACS, Associate Professor, Director of Trauma and Surgical Critical Care, was born in Iowa. She is a graduate of the University of Iowa Medical School and completed a general surgery residency at the Michigan State University - Butterworth Hospital training program in Grand Rapids, MI. Dr. Albrecht completed a surgical critical care fellowship at the University of Miami in 1991. She was a surgery faculty member at Michigan State University from 1991-1995 and at the University of New Mexico from 1996-2001. While at Michigan State she received medical student and resident teaching awards for outstanding teaching in surgery and at New Mexico was the Director of the Surgical Critical Care training program. She joined the Department of Surgery at the University of Oklahoma in September 2001. Dr. Albrecht is Board Certified in General Surgery with a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgical Critical Care.
