Ronald C. Elkins, M.D.

Ronald C. Elkins, M.D., Professor Emeritus, was born in Texas. Dr. Elkins graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and completed residencies in General and Thoracic Surgery at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. He returned to the full time faculty of the University of Oklahoma in 1971 and became Chief of the Section of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery in 1975. He is a past President of the Southwestern Surgical Congress and the Southern Thoracic Surgical Association.
