Larry R. Pennington

Larry R. Pennington, Professor, Vice Chairman and Chief, Section of Transplant Surgery, was born in Oklahoma and graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1975. He completed the residency program in General Surgery at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in 1982 and joined the faculty there at that time. He joined the full time faculty in the Department of Surgery in July, 1986, as Chief of the Section of Transplant Surgery. He was appointed to the G. Rainey Williams Chair in Surgical Research in 1998. He is Board Certified in Surgery.
