The Clinical Pathologists of the Department of Pathology provide leadership and expertise in many areas of laboratory medicine, and consultive services to serveral small laboratories and hospitals across Oklahoma. Our Clinical Pathologists are experts in new test development, CLIA and other laboratory regulations, laboratory accreditation, equipment evaluation, adn laboratory test interpretation.
Clinical Pathology faculty members have special expertise in such areas as toxicology, drug monitoring, viral and bacterial diseases, laboratory informatics, tissue transplantation, genetic disorders, molecular diagnostics, transfusion medicine (blood banking) and hematology.
