Oklahoma City

Oklahoma City is a "sunbelt" city and has grown into a metropolitan area of nearly a million with a land area of 650 square miles. The large land area preserves a feeling of openness within a city.

Recreational facilities include parks, tennis courts, golf courses, lakes, a fine and spacious zoo, AAA baseball, college football, and the Remington Park Race Track. Cultural opportunities are afforded by the Oklahoma Museum of ARt, Oklahoma Art Center, Lyric Theater, Oklahoma City Philharmonic Orchestra, Ballet Oklahoma, Shakespeare in the Park, Kirkpatrick Center, and the National Cowbow Hall of Fame and Western Heritage Center.

The cost of living is moderate, with an abundance of housing available to rent or buy.

Oklahoma City is the State Capitol of Oklahoma, and eight colleges and universities are located within the metropolitan area. The Norman campus of the University of Oklahoma is eighteen miles south of Oklahoma City.
