General Obstetrics & Gynecology

The generalist OB/GYN section is the largest division within the OB/GYN department and is comprised of nine physician and four midwife faculty. 

We see both obstetric and gynecology patients for many reasons. 

We see patients for annual gynecologic exams, pap smears, and general health check ups, as well as visits for abnormal pap smears, birth control, abnormal uterine bleeding, hormone therapy, and gynecologic surgery.  

Both the physicians and midwives see a wide variety of obstetric patients, ranging from uncomplicated pregnancies to those with concerns.  We offer VBACs to appropriate patients. 

In addition, outside of our office practice, we are involved in education of residents and medical students, working with community and health department clinics, and are active within the health science center.
