The Application Process

OUR APPLICATION CRITERIA AND INFORMATION ABOUT OUR PROGRAM:

1.    All applications are received through ERAS. 

2.    Our deadline for applications is November 1 each year.

3.    We participate in the NRMP match. 

4.    Our program is integrated with the 1st year done in Internal Medicine here at OUHSC.

5.    Our program is IMG friendly with IMG's in each year of the training program.

6.    No US experience is required.

7.    Criteria:

        a.    Our committee looks at applicants with USMLE scores of 88 and above (on all steps)

        b.     We prefer at least some evidence of specific interest in Neurology, such as:

                -    research in the field of Neurology

                -    extra or elective rotations in neurology during medical school

                -    residency, or portion thereof, in Neurology

                -    publications in the specialty of Neurology

                If you are currently in medical school and about to graduate, some of these may not apply

        c.    We prefer no more than 5 years since last clinical experience

        d.    We sponsor J1 visas.  We do not sponsor H1
