The program provides a
well-balanced approach to neurology with a mixture of clinical and basic
sciences training, as well as exposure to areas necessary in the practice
of neurology such as neuroradiology, neuropathology, clinical
neurophysiology, psychiatry and neurosurgery.

Finally, our program offers the first year of medicine as an integrated part of the neurology residency. While it is not necessary for residents to take their first year of medicine at OUHSC, the availability of a PG-1 year in our regular medicine program provides a smooth transition into the neurology residency program with minimal disruption.
