  Welcome to the website of the OUHSC Department of

  Neurology.  These are exciting times for our department.  

  In order to meet the needs of our community, we are greatly

  expanding our faculty, services, and educational programs. 

  As a result of new faculty joining us this year, we are able to

  expand services in the areas of stroke, epilepsy, dementia,

  headache, movement disorders, pediatric neurology, and, at

  the VA, neurorehabilitation.  In addition, we are opening a

  satellite clinic in Edmond, a northern suburb of Oklahoma City. 

  The department is building on its reputation for talented

  teachers and quality educational programs by implementing

  standardized, competency-based curricula for medical students, neurology residents, and

  non-neurology residents who rotate on our service.  In addition, we are increasing the number

  of continuing education offerings throughout the year.  Our department’s research activities,

  primarily occurring through our Clinical Studies Unit and the Oklahoma City VAMC, increase

  each year.  This is a good time to be an OU neurologist.
