A warm welcome to the University of Oklahoma
Health Sciences Center (OUHSC) Graduate College! The OUHSC is
the largest health sciences center in the State of Oklahoma
and one of only four academic health centers in the United States.
With more than 600 graduate students, the Graduate College grants
MS and PhD degrees from multiple degree granting programs in
the Colleges of Allied Health, Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing,
Pharmacy, and Public Health.
Our graduate students are educated in Oklahoma’s premier
biomedical research institution that received $135 million in
external funding in FY 2007, with $62.3 million in research
funding from the National Institutes of Health. More than half
of all OUHSC faculty hold Graduate College appointments. Oklahoma
Medical Research Foundation scientists, who rank nationally
among the top recipients of competitive research grants, also
serve as mentors to graduate students.
Review the information provided under the ‘Prospective
Students’ menu for specific program application requirements
and deadlines, funding opportunities, tuition waivers, and stipends.
The majority of our doctoral students receive stipends and tuition
waivers to help cover the cost of their education.
Again, thank you for your interest in the OUHSC Graduate College.
